This morning Sestriere and the courses at high altitude woke up under a heavy snowfalls. Last night the temperature finally dropped and snowflakes began falling abundantly starting from 1,800-2,000 m. Today, Thursday November 24th, over 80 cm snow piled up at the Col in one only day , and much more on the courses at high altitude.
The snowfall is like manna for the course Kandahar Giovanni Alberto Agnelli, that December 10th and 11th will host the alpine skiing World Cup races. Now the highest stretch of the track is fully covered in snow.
According to the forecasts a lot of snow is still to be expected tonight and all day tomorrow.
