Snow, a lot of snow in Sestriere and on the courses at high altitude of the Vialattea skiing resort. Timely and abundant the snow has reached the Col. After two days uninterrupted snowing, the white blanket now exceeds 140 cm in Sestriere, and much more snow covers the courses at high altitude. Snowmobiles started immediately working it, to prepare the best base for the skiing season start, scheduled as usual for the long week-end of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The temperature continues dropping and the snow, today, Friday November 25th, reached also lower altitude, i.e. starting from 1,500 / 1,600.
Works are progressing also along the Kandahar G.A. Agnelli course, that December 10th and 11th will host two alpine skiing World Cup races. Thank to the super snowfall at high altitude, also the initial stretch of the giant slalom race course is now fully covered in snow. According to the forecasts, the temperatures will sharply drop in the next days, creating the perfect conditions to work the course at best and get to the racing appointment with a solid snow blanket, suitable to host competitions at the highest levels.
