This event, organised by the association “Automobile Club di Torino” and unique in Italy for its history, charm and importance, will take place this week-end for the 36th time.
Titled with the validity for both the European Championship and Italian Championship for historic cars speed hill climbing. Unique, selective and spectacular course; 10,400 km track on the hairpin bends of the Olympic mountains, that from Cesana, 1,300 m above sea level, climb to Sestriere, 2,035 m above sea level, both famous resorts for international tourism in winter and summer
An event not to be missed by motor sport fans: over 120 registered riders, featuring the most important names in speed hill climbing, in which with a tremendous time of 4’30″06, Stefano Di Fulvio driving a BMW 2500cc motorized Osella PA 9/90 destroyed the race record, despite the two slowing chicanes in Champlas du Col. The previous record of 4’32”68 had been established by Andres Vilarino in 1990.
