Throughout the presentation of the new ski season held at the Sci Club Pinerolese in Babano di Cavour (Turin) on August 31st, the sports club has dedicated a special moment to the Alpine Ski World Cup planned in Sestriere on January 18th and 19th, 2020.
The event is particularly anticipated by all sports and ski lovers, with the Sci Club Pinerolese – in cooperation with Vialattea – having gathered over 2000 spectators in Sestrieres for the 2016 World Cup stage thanks to the network of contacts set up by its members.
To set the tone, Luisella Bourlot – CEO of Sestrieres SpA, Gianni Poncet – Mayor of Sestriere, Massimo Bonetti – General Manager of the Ski World Cup Organizing Committee in Sestriere, and Valter Marin – Council Member of the Piedmont Regional Office, were all invited on stage in Babano.
On behalf of all, Gianni Poncet, Mayor of Sestriere, has underlined how the Ski World Cup event is an excellent showcase to promote the entire alpine territory as well as the Piedmont region. He then thanked the Sci Club Pinerolese for the tangible cooperation both in terms of advertisement and in terms of attracting a large amount of spectators by organizing corollary initiatives to the event – an essential condition for FIS to assign the Ski World Cup stages to the various venues.
