On July 12–13, 2025, the “Cesana-Sestriere” returns — the international uphill speed race for historic cars, now in its 43rd edition. Vialattea is an official partner of the motor racing event and is also providing its Sestriere offices as the event’s headquarters, which takes place along the Provincial Road 23 linking Cesana and Sestriere.
To ensure connection between Cesana and Sansicario during the race, Sestrieres S.p.A. has scheduled the free opening of the Cesana-Sansicario gondola lift during the closure of the Cesana-Sestriere Provincial Road 23. The lift will be open on Saturday, July 12 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Sunday, July 13 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Here is the program of this two-day motorsport event, valid for the European and Italian hill climb championships. On Saturday, July 12 at 1:00 PM, the two practice runs of the Cesana-Sestriere race will begin and continue into the late afternoon. On Sunday, July 13 at 11:00 AM, the race will officially start with a single run that will determine the winners in the various categories and groupings. Piazza Agnelli in Sestriere will host the cars at the end of the trials and, on Sunday at 2:30 PM, the final awards ceremony of the event.
