BEBE VIO GRANDIS AND ART4SPORT CELEBRATE 16 YEARS OF ACTIVITY WITH WEMBRACE SNOW IN SESTRIERE

15 January 2026

From January 15 to 18, four days of sport, inclusion and solidarity. An event organized by art4sport

WEmbrace SNOW, the event conceived and organized by art4sport, which this year celebrates its 16th anniversary, will take place from January 15 to 18 in Sestriere (TO). A flagship event of inclusive sport that brings together children and young people with disabilities from the art4sport team, their families, partners and supporters, to experience days of sport, sharing and smiles together.

An experience that finds in Sestriere, and in the Vialattea ski area, a context particularly sensitive to the values of inclusion, accessibility and sharing, long committed to promoting a mountain environment open to everyone and capable of welcoming initiatives that put people at the center.

The 2026 edition of WEmbrace SNOW takes on an even more special meaning as it falls within the sixteenth year of activity of art4sport, founded in 2009 by Beatrice “Bebe” Vio Grandis together with her parents Teresa Grandis and Ruggero Vio, with the aim of supporting children and young people with limb amputations in their growth journey through sport.

For 16 years, art4sport has been supporting young athletes in a concrete and continuous way, following their sporting and personal development over time. Today, the association supports more than 50 children and young people throughout Italy, funding and creating customized prosthetics and sports aids — over 210 to date — not covered by the National Health System, guiding young athletes in choosing their sporting path and also supporting their families with information and orientation.

WEmbrace SNOW represents one of the most significant moments in the art4sport journey: the goal of the event is to bring together the members of the art4sport team to experience days of snow sports, try a winter discipline together, and encourage social interaction among families. All of this takes place in the beautiful setting of Sestriere and the Vialattea ski area, which once again prove to be not only a top-level sports destination, but also places capable of welcoming and supporting initiatives that promote inclusion, participation and connection.

“WEmbrace Snow is an incredible burst of energy. Every year we return to the snow to do what we love most: being together, practicing sport and having real fun. Here there are no labels or barriers, only people working as a team. It proves that when you truly work as a team, you can do anything,” says Bebe Vio Grandis.

The WEmbrace SNOW 2026 program includes the WEmbrace SNOW Trophy, an integrated team ski race with mixed teams of athletes with and without disabilities, and the presence at the bottom of the slopes of igloos dedicated to art4sport activities, partners, meetings with athletes, and moments of storytelling and sharing open to the public. This openness also reflects the host area’s desire to make sport and its values accessible and shareable, involving the local community, guests and families in an experience that goes beyond the sporting event itself.

On Saturday, January 14, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, igloos dedicated to the presentation of art4sport activities and athlete interviews will be set up at the departure area, hosted by journalist Paola Arrigoni together with Bebe Vio Grandis: an opportunity open to the town of Sestriere and all attendees to stop, listen, learn about the stories of the young athletes and discover firsthand the value of sport as a tool for inclusion.

On Sunday, January 15, at 9:00 am, everyone will also be able to watch the race and experience the excitement of the competition, sharing the values of inclusion, participation and sport for all that the initiative aims to promote.

The program is completed by: ski lessons, sports activities and the celebration dinner for art4sport’s 16th birthday.
