16 nations on the starting line on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 January

Everything is ready in Sestriere to welcome international alpine skiing: the Women’s European Cup returns to the slopes of the Vialattea on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 January 2026. Two giant slalom races will feature athletes from 16 nations, confirming the technical quality and international importance of the event.

The competitions will take place on the iconic Kandahar Giovanni Alberto Agnelli slope, a legendary course in world skiing. The start is set at an altitude of 2,355 metres, in the area of the Cit Roc chairlift top station, with the finish line at 2,040 metres, after tackling a vertical drop of 315 metres, guaranteeing a high-level technical spectacle.

On both days, the programme includes the first run at 10:00 and the second run at 12:30.

This year, for the first time, the races will be broadcast live on neveitalia.it and on the new Vialattea YouTube channel
https://www.youtube.com/@Vialattea_Official/videos, ensuring wide national and international visibility.

Representing the Italian national team, following their excellent results on the continental circuit this season, the following athletes will compete: Alice Pazzaglia, Giulia Valleriani, Ambra Pomarè, Francesca Carolli, Tatum Bieler, Annette Belfrond, Sophie Mathieu, Ilaria Ghisalberti, Carole Agnelli, Laura Steinmair, Arianna Putzer, Victoria Klotz, Nadine Trocker, Vittoria Rossi, Melissa Astigiano, Lavinia Paci, Giulia Romele, Francesca Semprebon, Beatrice Mazzoleni, Maria Sole Antonini and Sofia Parravicini.

Sestriere thus renews its competitive tradition, confirming itself as a key venue for alpine skiing thanks to its solid organisational experience and a course that has hosted the most important international competitions over the years.

The event is organised by the Sporting Club Sestrieres, with the patronage of the Piedmont Region and the Municipality of Sestriere, highlighting the strong involvement of local institutions in supporting high-level sporting events that enhance the territory and the entire Vialattea ski area.

“The synergy with the Piedmont Region and the Municipality of Sestriere is the foundation of the organisation of this event. Teamwork with the local area allows us to promote sport as a driver of growth and development for the entire Vialattea and, more broadly, for mountain tourism,” says Gualtiero Brasso, Head of the Organising Committee.
