A large number of athletes will take to the slopes of the Vialattea for the 43rd edition of the Uovo d’Oro Lauretana, scheduled for 28 and 29 March 2026 in Sestriere. Thanks also to the excellent snow conditions, 1,714 competitors will line up at the start, representing 89 ski clubs—72 Italian and 17 international. The young skiers will arrive from six countries: Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, Andorra and Slovenia. These impressive figures highlight the strength and appeal of an event that has become a staple of the youth competition calendar over the years.
The weekend programme will feature not only top-level sport but also moments of celebration and sharing. On the first day, Saturday 28 March, the Allievi category will compete on the Sises 2 slope and the Ragazzi category on the G.A. Agnelli slope, with the first racers starting at 9:30 am. On Sunday 29 March, at 9:00 am, it will be the turn of the Cuccioli on the G.A. Agnelli slope and the Baby on Sises 2, followed at 10:00 am by the Super Baby on the Standard slope.
On Saturday at 2:00 pm, in the finish area, the awards ceremony and prize draw for the Allievi and Ragazzi categories will take place. On Sunday, from 1:30 pm in Piazzale Kandahar (in front of Casa Olimpia), ski clubs will collect their identification signs for the parade, which at 2:00 pm will pass through the streets of the town and conclude in Piazza Fraiteve, where at 2:30 pm the awards ceremony and prize draw for the Cuccioli, Baby and Super Baby categories will be held.
The top ten finishers in each category will be awarded, and all athletes will take part in the final prize draw.
As tradition dictates, at the end of the races all participants will receive the classic chocolate egg, the symbol of the event.
