Nature and protected areas: Vialattea is surrounded by beautiful natural parks that offer tourists the opportunity to immerse themselves in an natural scenery of rare beauty. Spending a summer day in the Vialattea, discovering local flora and fauna, represents one of the many activities that will make your stay in the Olympic mountains even more enjoyable. Between history and culture, walking along the network of trails and ancient military roads you will encounter majestic fortifications, monuments, mines and icehouses.
Three nature parks surround Vialattea and offer an extraordinary environmental setting: the Orsiera Rocciavré, which covers a vast area between Val Susa and Val Chisone, the Val Troncea Nature Park, which lies entirely in the area of Pragelato, and the Gran Bosco di Salbertrand, located on the orographic right of the Susa Valley (from the valley floor to the ridges bordering Val Chisone). These parks, together with the Avigliana Lakes, 2 Nature Reserves and 12 Natura 2000 Network sites constitute the Protected Areas of the Cottian Alps.
