The mountains of Piedmont are once again becoming the beating heart of major alpine skiing events. From April 1 to 3, 2026, Sestriere will once again host the Italian Alpine Ski Championships, the most prestigious event on the national calendar, which awards the tricolor titles. The technical disciplines will take place at Colle del Sestriere with Giant Slalom and Slalom races. The stage of the competition will be the legendary Kandahar Giovanni Alberto Agnelli piste, a world skiing icon that has already hosted countless World Cup races.

After yesterday’s great news about the reopening of the skilift Sises in Sestriere, from wednesday 18 March to sunday 22 March, the Genevirs area in Sauze d’Oulx will also reopen, with the Cote Faure chairlift and the Tuassieres ski lift. This extraordinary opening, thanks to recent snowfall, allows everyone to enjoy wonderful days on the slopes.

Sestriere and the Vialattea slopes are preparing to welcome the 43rd edition of the Uovo d’Oro Lauretana, scheduled for Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March 2026 on the Monte Alpette slopes. Over the years, this event has become a true benchmark for the national and international youth scene, attracting significant numbers and a high level of technical participation.
