TRY THE VIALATTEA TOUR FROM SESTRIERE TO SAUZE D’OULX
Vialattea is your next vacation destination? Plan your high altitude trip with our lifts open during the summer period. Starting either from Sestriere or Sauze d’Oulx, you can take a magnificent high altitude route that connects the two resorts of the area.
From Sauze d’Oulx you can easily reach the Sportinia village with the homonymous chairlift, which has already been operating every day since July 27. Starting from Aug. 3, the Rocce Nere chairlift from Sportinia to the top of Rocce Nere will also open for the first day of this season. Please be aware that the Rocce Nere chairlift only operates uphill. A marked trail suitable for hikers and bikers is available to return to Sportinia.
Since August 3, the Sestriere-Fraiteve cable car will also be open daily. Thanks to the opening of these three Vialattea lifts, the connection between Mount Fraiteve and Rocce Nere, via Col Basset, will be easily accessible on foot or by bike.
The Sestriere-Fraiteve cable car, the Sportinia chairlift and the Rocce Nere chairlift will remain open daily with nonstop hours, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., until Aug. 25. The Sestriere Fraiteve cable car will reopen again for one last weekend of the season on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1.
The trails are operated by the relevant municipalities.
